For the past number of years we have provided a SUP Clinic the day before our big SUP Cup event in August.

In the past we have had Dave Kalama, and then Dave Kalama and Jim Terrell for a couple years.

This year we brought in world class paddler and Starboard Dream Team rider – Zane Schweitzer.

Not only did Zane put on a clinic for paddlers on Friday morning, he also put on a Free Kids Clinic in the afternoon.  

As an added bonus, one lucky participant of the morning clinic was chosen and then Zane paddled with, and coached that person the next day during the SUP Cup River race!

Thanks to Zane for making the trek over to paddle with us, and to Starboard for helping to make it all happen.

With summer winding down – and the weather becoming more “winterish”, it’s time to start thinking about the upcoming Snowboard Season.

We here at Easy Rider have always strived to bring you not only the best quality products, but also the Newest and Coolest gear available.

Our board line up this is year is the best ever.   We will be carrying the following brands this season.

Lib Tech / Gnu / Burton / Nitro / Ride / K2 / Arbor / Sims / Roxy / Koura Shapes / Stepchild / Jones / Bataleon / and United Shapes.

Boards will begin to arrive at the shop in early September and we will be fully stocked by mid October.

The 9th Annual Easy Rider SUP Cup – presented by Starboard – is coming up fast.

A MAJOR change this year is that ALL paddlers (both RACE & TOUR) will be shuttled to the STARTS of their events.
The Finish is the same at the Edmonton Queen River Boat – but the Awards and BBQ will be ON the River Boat.

Below is a listing of “check in” and “shuttle times”.
You MUST Pre-register by the end Monday, Aug. 15 for the FREE Shuttle Service.

If you are doing the RACE distance – and NOT using the shuttle service you MUST still come to Rafters Landing at 8:00 AM to register and get your race number.  No RACE number = No time.

 

River RACE Paddlers
Check-in is at 8:00 AM at the Rafters Landing / Edmonton Queen River Boat Parking lot.
Shuttle to RACE Start leaves at 8:30 AM (only for Pre registered competitors)
ALL Paddlers MUST have a LEASH, WHISTLE and PFD – NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

 

River TOUR Paddlers
Check-in is at 8:30 AM at the Rafters Landing / Edmonton Queen River Boat Parking lot.
Shuttle to TOUR Start leaves at 9:00 AM (only for Pre registered competitors)
ALL Paddlers MUST have a LEASH, WHISTLE and PFD – NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

 

ALL Paddlers will finish at Rafters Landing (Edmonton Queen River Boat)

BBQ / Race awards and partial Draw Prizes will be on the Edmonton Queen River Boat
