Windsurfing a SUP

If you are old enough to remember the boom of windsurfing – they you are also old enough to remember how much fun it was to cruise around the lake on a breezy day.
If you are not old enough to know about windsurfing – there is only one thing you need to know . . . It’s FUN!

Well, thanks to many of the Stand Up Paddleboard companies also being windsurf companies – it is now possible to windsurf your SUP.

Starboard is leading the way – with almost every model they make being available with a windsurf option.
The construction / color way of Starboards with windsurf insert is called Electric Blue this season.
Starboard also makes several inflatable boards that have the windsurf attachment.

Starboard is also leading the re emergence of sailboarding with a easy to set up, easy to use, low cost sail package.
The Sail packs come in the Classic model, or if storage space is an issue – the Compact model.

Both versions come in 5.5m and 6.5m sizes.
We also have kids rig packages in 1.2m and 2.1m sizes for the youngsters to learn.

Stop by the shop and we can show you all the boards and sails.

Some stores say that they are “into” SUP,  some stores say that they have a “great selection” of SUP boards,  some stores say they “can order in” a board for you,  some stores say a lot of things.

Here at The Easy Rider – we have been paddling and selling Stand Up Paddleboards for over 7 years, and our selection of boards is second to none.

Below is a listing of all of the boards that we have IN STOCK RIGHT NOW.

That’s over 150 different SUP boards in stock – waiting for you.

Stop by, or drop us an email – we will make sure we find the right board for you.

All Around boards are great for most types of paddling. They look like big, longboard surfboards.

Cross Over boards are slightly faster than All Around boards - and will have a bit of a point at the nose.

Touring boards will be much faster than All Around boards - will have a "pointy shape" - but are still stable enough for paddlers of all abilities.

Race boards are of course the fastest on the water - but their narrower width makes them less stable.

Inflatables are the perfect solution to storage and transportation issues. The Thinner (4" & Fun) versions are for lighter paddlers (under 150 lbs.) The Thicker (6" & Deluxe) versions are for all weights.

These are true Surf board SUP's. They suck on flat water - but are awesome on a wave.
