This years event will be two days of SUP Fun.
Saturday, August 13 will feature the Worlds First ever Indoor SUP Surf Contest in the West Edmonton Mall wave pool.
The Surf contest will be run just like a regular surf contest with heats of paddlers for a set period of time – with the top surfers advancing to the semis and then the finals.
Coreban has given us a 9’6″ board that will be used as a draw prize for the Surf Contest.
After the Surf contest we will all head out for brunch (the Surf Contest is early Saturday morning).
Sunday will see the 4th year of the river race on the North Saskatchewan River.
The race will run from Terwilliger Park to Rafters Landing – 18 km
We will again be also running the touring class for people that want to partake but not do the race distance.
The Touring class will run form Laurier Park (Valley Zoo) to Rafter Landing – 9 km.
Following the Race & Tour – everyone will be shuttled back to Laurier Park for the Awards, Draw Prizes (over $10,000. worth) and the BBQ.
Entry fees are $25. for the Surf Contest and $25. for the Race or the Tour.
This will include Event T’s / Entry to the Draws / Shuttle Service / and the Sunday BBQ.
