Huge apologies to the few people that we missed getting times for. With a large pack of Race and Tour paddlers finishing at the same time a few people were missed.

7th Annual Easy Rider SUP Cup August 16 & 17, 2014
Saturday, August 16
Stand Up Paddleboard Race & Tour on the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton.
Race will be approximately 16 km. Touring class will be approximately 8 km.
BBQ will follow at end of race / tour.
FREE Shuttle service provided to Pre-Registered Race and Tour paddlers.
Saturday evening will be the Easy Rider – SUP Film Festival – featuring the Canadian Premiere of H2Mexic0
Location is at the Overtime bar next to Easy Rider in Whitemud Crossing. All Ages welcome until 9:30 PM
Sunday, August 17
World’s only indoor SUP Surf Contest West Edmonton Mall Wave Pool
Men’s, Women’s and Juniors (16 and under).
SUP Surf Contest – Limited to 32 Men / 8 Women / 8 Juniors
First to sign up get to surf.
Each paddle event is $25.
Tons of draw prizes. All ability levels. Must have your own Board / Paddle / Leash / Whistle

REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR SHUTTLE SERVICE IS AUGUST 8, 2014
After August 8 – you will be on your own for getting to the start, and back from the finish to Laurier Park.

River RACE Paddlers
Registration and Check in Starts at 8:00 AM at the boat launch area of Laurier Park.
Shuttle to RACE Start leaves at 9:00 AM (only for Pre registered competitors)
ALL Paddlers MUST have a LEASH and a WHISTLE – NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
River TOUR Paddlers
Registration and Check in Starts at 9:00 AM
TOUR will start at shortly after 10:00 AM – You MUST be ready to paddle by 9:45 AM
ALL Paddlers MUST have a LEASH and a WHISTLE – NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
ALL Paddlers will finish at Rafters Landing (Edmonton Queen River Boat)
Those that registered in advance will be shuttled back to Laurier Park for the BBQ and Awards.

SUP Surf Contest – Limited to 32 Men / 8 Women / 8 Juniors
First to sign up get to surf.
Meet in the Parking lot on the SOUTH side of the Water Park near Door “C” at 5:45 AM
Doors open at 6:00 AM
First Heat hits the Water at 6:30 AM.
It seems like this race event might just be jinxed – weather wise.
The 2nd Annual Easy Rider Battle of Telford Lake SUP Race – saw less than idea conditions with wind / cold and rain, but that didn’t stop 30 paddlers from coming out and having a good time.
The event featured a “M” shaped course of 1 km per lap.
The Open class did 2 laps while the Elite class did 4.
Despite the weather – a good time was had by all. The BBQ was THE place to hang out after the event – if not for the food – then just to try and stay warm.
Thank you to the volunteers that helped out – and of course to the paddlers that proved you don’t need a beautiful sunny day to have a good time on the water.
