Burton Snowboards presents the 28th Annual Easy Rider Snowboard Cup.

April 4 & 5, 2015

Panorama, BC

2015 marks the 28th year for the Snowboard Cup.

It is the longest running snowboard contest in Canada and the third longest in North America (only behind the Burton US Open and the Legendary Banked Slalom at Mt. Baker)

It is FUN event designed so the snowboarders of all ages and abilities can take pat and have a great time.
The events are a Banked Slalom (one run through the course each day), a fun “Style Contest” on a jump at the base on Saturday afternoon and a Snowskate event on Friday evening.

The entry fee is the same as it was 28 years ago – $25.00.   This gets you entry into all the events during the weekend, an event T-Shirt, discounted lift tickets and accommodations, and entry into the draw prizes on Sunday afternoon.

Early Registration is now open at the store – Cash only, and you must have a parent sign the waiver if you are under 18.

Schedule of events:

FRIDAY
On Hill Registration – Friday, April 3 – 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Great Hall at Panorama.
Snow Skate Demo (brought to you by Landyachtz) – 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

SATURDAY
Late Registration – Saturday, April 4 – 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM in the Great Hall at Panorama.
Racer Meeting at Top of Course (Loose Moose run) 10:00 AM
First Run of Banked Slalom – 10 :00 AM – All Day Saturday.
Best Style Contest – 5:00 PM at Village base.

SUNDAY
Late Registration – Sunday, April 5 – 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM in the Great Hall at Panorama.
Second Run of Banked Slalom – 9:30 AM – Last run at 2:00 PM
Awards – 2:30 PM on the deck of the Great Hall.

**Note – to be eligible eligible for the draw prizes – you must take both runs in the Banked Slalom.

There are discounted accommodations as well as discounted lift tickets for competitors.

Spring is just around the corner.
What better time to learn to Stand Up Paddle.

Our next session is on Tuesday, March, 10th in the wave pool at West Edmonton Mall.

We supply all the boards and paddles, and give a brief lesson at the start, and then let you paddle around in nice warm water for almost 2 hours.

The cost is $10. per person.
You must register in advance by calling the store – at 780-413-4554.
Space is limited so call in and register as soon as possible.

Please Note – Children must be at least 12 years old – and must have a parent in the water at all times.

 

The next round of our Snowskate Sundays will be on Sunday (duh?), March 15 - at Snow Valley Ski Area.
9:00 AM to Noon. (before it gets really busy)

Bring your snow skate (bi-level style that are allowed on ski hills only) and come ride with us.

We will have some demo snowskates from Lib Tech and LY Snowskates available to try.

AND – We will also be holding a Gnu ZOID Demo.
The Zoid is changing how people ride.
Come try one for yourself.

Zoid Demos must be booked in advance by calling the store and signing up for your 30 minute session.
