Received a shipment of boards today. While unloading the semi truck one board box seemed a little “floppy”.
The driver and I set it aside until we did the rest. When the driver flipped the box over he let out a “WTF?”
This is how the board arrived.
Guess they were looking for something?
The green tape says who did it . . .
Hmmmm . . . this of life paddling and surfing all the time is kind of habit forming!
Up early on our last full day for some paper work – orders for all of next winters snowboard stuff are due in the next little while.
Then is was off to Anini Beach for some snorkeling with the family.
Back to the house and I headed out to the reef for a few hours – getting a few good ones and taking a good beating on the inside for a set!
After surfing – we all headed up the river for a family paddle – the kids making it a 4 km round trip and my Valentine and I making it a 10 km trip.
Back for a shower and a quick bite before heading out for dinner (for the first time ever on all of our trips here)
Tomorrow is heading home day – but I am going to try and squeeze in some paddle time early in the AM.
Another day in paradise!
Jeff and Brynja’s wedding was at sunrise at Tunnels (a famous surf break here on Kauai) – and it was amazing.
After the wedding festivities it was off to the beach as the sun came back with a vengeance.
Managed to get in a few good rides out at the reef – but conditions were not very good.
So it was time to hang with the family and watch Griff make another one of his sand art sculptures.
Then it was off to town for some shave ice (I am going to look into getting one of these machines for the store).
Finally it was a great 7 km twilight paddle on the river with my amazing wife!
Now to BBQ some fresh Mahi-Mahi and then have a good night sleep!
