Well I guess the Alberta saying of “if you don’t like the weather . . . wait 5 minutes” can apply to Kauai as well.
Yesterday was sunny and warm – today was rainy and chilly.  Not Edmonton minus a billion chilly, but gee I think I need to put on a T-Shirt” chilly.
Up early for another flat water paddle on the river – in the rain.
Angela came along and used the Widepoint while I paddled the 10’3″ Gun.  Not the greatest flat water boards – but still felt good to be out paddling.  I then snuck in a good hour or so surf session in choppy chest high stuff.  The rain kept the crowds away and I only had to “share” with 2 other people.
Then it was off to do some snorkeling with the kids.
After dinner is was time for some work – next season snowboard product orders.  At least I got to do them sitting on the lanai listing to the surf.

Another fun day!

Long time friend and Easy Rider supporter  Corey is down in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua for a few weeks.

He bought a Starboard Whopper and a Starboard Hero just before he left and managed to get them on his plane and all the way down there.

As much as I love snowboarding (I just had the best day of riding in my 31 years of snowboarding a few weeks ago) it is time to get away from this cold – white stuff. That and my friend / team rider / lifeguard Jeff is getting married next weekend. So it’s off to Hawaii for a week and a bit.
I did just have a new Starboard Widepoint 10’5″ shipped over there for me – so look for a full report on that board in a few weeks.
Until the water becomes un-frozen here – it’s gonna have to do.

Have also booked the next West Edmonton Mall demo day – Saturday, March 5.  More details to come.
