The other night I was given the opportunity to display some SUP boards at the first ever City of Edmonton – “Paul Kane 1847 Christmas Dinner”.
The dinner was a fund raiser for the Rundle Park Paddling Center and the EPCA. It was held at Fort Edmonton in the “Clerk’s Quarters” and featured a true 1847 dinner of Bison, wild goose and all the trimmings.
The City of Edmonton is looking at getting a few SUP boards for the Rundle Park Paddling Center – and having the boards at the dinner was a way to show off this new sport to the Edmonton paddling community.
Thanks to Karina and the City of Edmonton for being so forward thinking in regards to the new sport of Stand Up Paddling.
